Yes, as usual the US citizens are prioritized, they also get all the software much, very much, cheaper - and we have to wait for them to wake up before us Europeans (we are far more than the USA, btw…) are able to see whats going on.
Why does everyone think that US americans are more important than anyone else?
Ok, it might be a little bit better than the mould on the back wall of their toilet being cleaned up.
But “This’ll change everything.” Not likely.
Personally, I haven’t used VST Connect, but I would have imagined that the latencies involved in comms around the world would have made shared sessions unworkable.
But I could see it being useful in recording musicians in isolated rooms in the same building, connected by GbE.
I have and with a 100MB internet connection on both ends (but 12mb up) and an average ~70ms connect latency, it’s kinda sorta useable. It’s not as cool as you want it to be, but not as bad as you think it would be.
