Off-line (non real time) processing issues

Postby unseen_dimensions » Sat Nov 16, 2013 4:28 am

Hello everyone
I recently upgraded from cubase 5 to cubase 7 and i use off-line processing a lot when editing audio, for example if i want to add a reverb to an audio sample without having to insert the reverb on the track and then export the sample with reverb and then import that sample with the reverb, etc etc….

When i right Ctrl+ right click on an audio sample and then go to plug ins, i noticed that all the 32 bit plug ins are missing, only the 64bit ones show up, which is odd, because i can insert the 32 bit plug ins in any track and actually use them without a problem, but i just can't do offline processing with them, they don't come up, have a look at this picture:

And the other thing is when i try to add some reverb for example to an audio sample doing off-line processing and i click on the preview button i can't hear anything, but if i hear process i can hear the same with reverb after the window closes, have a look at this picture:

Hope i explained myself and yous can understand and thanks a lot in advance if u can help :)

Issue 2, set up control room correctly or your main outs.

Hi unseen_dimensions,

unfortunately it won't work. Bridged plugins can't be used for offline processing.

Oh, interesting. Luis, do you mean plugins bridged with the Cubase bridge or does this apply to JBridge as well?

Hello,

this only applies to plug-ins bridged internally.

It is possible to apply offline processing using "jBridged" plug-ins.
