Freezing an audio track stops sound

Postby HowlingUlf » Mon Dec 09, 2013 8:34 pm

When I hit the Freeze button there is no audio output on that track. Same thing in C6.5.5 as in C7.5. What have I forgotten to do? I usually, obviously, very seldom freeze tracks but is there something more to do than just hit the Freeze button, set the tail and hit OK? It's gotta be something embarrassingly simple ...

After some further investigation I found I can freeze files on audio tracks by not using the élastique algorithm but the standard algorithm instead. Then I tried again with élastique and now it worked!!!

Whassup with dat?

Can anybody confirm this, please?

For a long time now I have had an issue where freeze produces silence.

Unfreezing and just doing it a 2nd time always (and I do mean always) works.

So perhaps the algorithm you selected has nothing to do with it....it's just that you are unfreezing and then freezing a 2nd time.

Yeah! Thanx! It's totally possible it's not the algorithm. It just went from silence to sound when I did that so I assumed that's it hehe. Bad science ... or worse?

Bottom line something doesn't work quite right.
