@Max: with this, the mix is not better.
I rely on my ears only (!) - pretty overstyled and exaggerated tiny pictures are not helpful in this area...
;)

I prefer this mixer GUI:
http://www.amazona.de/wp-content/upload ... mixer1.jpg

because much more can be displayed and the GUI is customizable - looks great.

Everything else is great so far but please bring back the clic volume!

Nevermind!! If you want those controls back, just click on the "Main" with the line underneath and the sliders will appear :D

That's funny. Mix is better when you feel comfortable with your tools and doing your work quickly as it flows.

yes, you´re right. ;)
I´m using 3 flat screen´s - and I feel very comfortable with Cubendo´s new Mix Console. that´s it. 8-)
I have worked many years with pro tools, S1 and logic.

But back to the topic.

Yes, what he said. I was just getting used to the new look of Cubase having come from Nuendo 5.5. I have become newly accustomed to where the click track stuff is 'hidden'. Now I don't see it at all.

Is it there....or are we playing the clever game of "Where's Clicko"?

D

To get the click back:

On the Control Room Meter, click Control Room. Bottom left, hover over the button , just above "A" - Activate Metronome Click apears. Click. Done

Here we go again. Useless "eye candy improvements", but no real bug fixes like the USB controller issue on Windows or the messed up plug-in search function. I want features that work and if they don't I am expecting to have them fixed within no time.

Lots of good fixes, and just as stable as before (which is a good thing). Well done, Steinberg. And THANK YOU for a button for "Automation Follows Events". Little things like that help with workflow. We still need less clicks overall, especially in the mixer, but hopefully that will happen in the next update. The eye candy stuff is not to my favor either, but I'm used to the mixer now and simply am hoping for further refinements.

Of course, there are plenty of things still to fix, but this does has a lot of much-needed improvements. I hope that in the next update we will not need to still turn off ASIO Guard for some specific VSTis -- unfortunately that problem is still there, in that the notes don't often play right away with many VSTis that have ASIO Guard on.

yes... but this concerns only Reaper´s Mixer GUI (!) ;)
everything else looks like Office or Windows ´95:
see the menu´s and plugin configuration window, sends routing menu, preferences, etc. etc.
In these areas Reaper is very very ugly. You have to admit.

I don't know, yet ;) . I am on the lookout for a dedicated mixing environment, more to my liking than the new mixer in Cubase. Just thought that Reaper mixer looked promising. Sorry

Wait, can you explain this? What did they change?

Beat Designer is one of the reasons I keep coming back to Cubase after flirting with other DAWs.

Don't tell me they've broken it...

I am on mac 10.9.2;

Cubase still crashes for me when i open the Hub.
So Hub is still unusable for several updates now.
Again, have to remove the hubservice.bundle within Cubase.

Typical Cubase-mac bug which is still not solved ; bummer.

R-11333 MixConsole: The solo button now works on external instruments as expected.

No. It doesn't. After 3 updates, after reporting the bug on the forums and directly to SB support, after support recreated the bug and after waiting for 6 months for a fix....

Unbelievable. Just... beyond belief.

That's worrying - does anyone else have this?

Also someone referred to fixing a EuCon bug... what EuCon bug? I finally have everything working great here in 7.5.1!

All working correctly here. MC Control, Mix, Transport. I don't know what Eucon "bug" he is talking about either.

Good stuff, thank you. Will install in the morning I think. Sonik - if 7.5.2 resets some preferences, it didn't just uncheck EuCon in Control Surfaces, did it?

Good to hear those ASIO reports. I've had some bonkers performance meter stuff with Play 4 sometimes, then it just goes away. In general VE Pro is always a more solid host than Cubase, so all performance improvements appreciated.
