Export Audio: All Cycle Markers

Postby suntower » Mon Jan 27, 2014 12:36 am

Maybe this seems esoteric but...

I want to hit Export Audio and have an option to create separate WAV files for all the Cycle Markers in the CPR all in one go... like Song-cmk1.wav, Song-cmk2.wav, etc...

A frequent thing for me is to work on a large piece with like 2000 bars, which may have 6 'sections' that I'm thinking about. Until very late in the process, they will be little 'islands' unto themselves... almost separate 'songs'. What I do is Export Audio on each section, throw it onto a CD (gasp) or iPhone and think about how bad each one sounds away from the DAW. Currently this is a tedious process.

Unfortunately, the 'macro' thing isn't possible as there's no reliable way to

do until eof

please Add export by Cycle Marker option.
me personally use it when mastering and sampling. after i finish sound adjustments i want and need all cycle markers to be exported in one go and exported files get markers name.with heavy processing one average song could take even 10 min, its a lot of wasted time when i can do other things or just take a break without sitting like a dork in front of computer just to export every time for things that already done and ready.
please consider this in cubase, its an essential tool.

Sorry to bump this so often..
But this function should be implemented in cubase.. This is the most advantage thing in DAWs,, let the machine do the boring automatic stuff for you.. I had a post about a year ago about this same topic, nuendo has this feature,, it's should be in cubase as well. it's not related to post production works only.. It's just wast of users time to export every section (cycle marker)by hand.

I think they let you do this in Nuendo but not Cubase. Really lame if you ask me.

This needs to be implemented. Stat

its Lame and shame indeed .
cubase is a pro Digital audio Workstation product, one of the main advantage of such systems is to free the user to deal with this time consuming tasks when its can be done automatically.
i dont see any reason to not add this function in cubase !
i think they should develop in general the exporting options in Cubase !

Absolutely,

I often have to do tunes with multiple breakdowns. To save on loading time I create one long project and keep all the variations in the project. The ability to export each piece (which I have designated with aptly named cycle markers) would save a whole lot of time. Note that this is NOT TO VIDEO or for audio-post in particular which is the idea of Nuendo's extra feature set. This is an audio only issue and can be implemented very easily.

I wonder if a macro can be created to achieve this?
