Jeff, you are obviously no expert. Lumping Ccleaner in with “all these” products, i.e. the paid-for tune-up apps, registry cleaners, tool bars, optimisers, browser gizmos etc. etc. is just not giving people good advice. I would bet that monsterjazzlick’s pal uses Ccleaner to remove all the unwanted crap that comes with most new PCs - as I have for the last 20+ years as a PC support specialist. In my experience Ccleaner has never been responsible for any damage to anyone’s system, but it has certainly improved the performance of many.
If you are going to advise your colleagues on this forum, you owe it to them to give GOOD advice!
