A UR22 should be fine with a Macbook (that’s how I use mine). What OS are you on? Reinstall the latest Tools from http://www.steinberg.net/index.php?id=downloads_ur22&L=1
Do you still have the problem after a restart? If so, what do you see currently in your Audio MIDI Setup?
