Free warp on multi tracks

Postby sparstudio » Thu Jul 03, 2014 11:37 pm

Hi!

I am fixing the drums, but I can't quantize and crossfade it, cause it sounds like the ride is side chained... so I need to time warp it.. I searched the forum, and posts from 2013 says it can't be done.. is this still true? I on Cubase 7.

Yes this is still true.

There is a workaround of sorts in that you can bounce out up to 6 tracks to a 5.1 audio file, warp this and then split back out to single tracks. If you have more than 6 tracks this won't help you though!

Are you sure you can't improve on the cut'n slide results with some detailed manual editing?

Thanks for the advice!

In this case its a 9 track drum recording, I can fix it with detailed manual editing, but it would been a lot easier and probably better with the time warp! Hopefully Cubase will get this in the next version..!
