Cubase and 4K monitors?

Hi All,
Really been enjoying the reading on this topic.

I purchased a TCL 50" 4K unit for $790 and am running my 2012/13 MacBook Pro with cubase 7.5
The image quality is good and the screen real estate is great.
Running at 60Hz via HDMI (unfortunately it’s not HDMI2 but no big deal)

The only complaint I have is the mouse/pointer has a noticeable lag when I move it, but when viewing the MBP screen it is instantaneous. I tried putting the MBP through my superior LG HD smart TV and the lag is the same.

I would be interested to hear of any of you using a 4K and/or HD LCD TVs have had a similar experience and have resolved it.

you can also adjust mouse speed in windows if it helps
