At my wits end with vst performance...please help guys

@william98
The old VSTBridge issues.

For some time, I have had a folder structure of:
M:\ → Drive where all things to do with projects are

  • VSTPlugins
    • 32 → 32bit VST2 plugins being used - none in there for a long time
    • 32.Not Used → All installed 32 bit VST2 plugins here, only copying required ones to 32 above
    • 64 → 64bit VST2 plugins being used. Only path I add to Cubase these days
    • 64.Not Used → All installed 64bit VST2 plugins here, only copying required ones to 64 above
    • VST3.32 → c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3 symbolically links to here
    • VST3.64 → c:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 symbolically links to here.

These days, I don’t even install 32bit plugins, let alone 32bit Cubase or RX4, so I could probably drop the 32bit folders.

With more plugins being available in VST3, for which Cubase and the plugin installation programs only use two places, so don’t give an option to select where to install or load them from, I decided to transparently (via symbolic links) transfer them to the same base folder as the VST2 ones.
