I currently have a Fireface 800 as my main interface with a MOTU 8PRE and an MR816X connected via ADAT and was considering selling the MOTU, buy an extra MR816x and then using the two daisychained MR816x as main interfaces with the FF800 connected via ADAT, but since I read this thread, I think up to now that would not be such a good idea.
Direct monitoring is not an issue with my current setup, but I would like to be able to use the advanced functionality of the MR816x.
I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if this will be remedied.
