I find also it depends what you put the keyboard on:
substantial metal desk music stand - doesn’t work at all
lightweight music stand - range about 10 feet
cheap fally-over music stand - 20 feet but your keyboard crashes to the ground.
Upended cardboard box - all over the studio!
