I don't think any software company updates much from forum feedback. If anyone actually knew anything or bothered to read the manual and knew jack about the systems they are using then any meaningful suggestions or bug reports would be in the order of several tens of pages long.
Instead of the usual "Fix this!!!!!" and one sentence. The forum is for members to help each other and gawd knows that's hard enough to do anyway.
Cubase is one of those beasts where if you have to ask a question you need three quarters of the answer yourself to understand what anyone else is saying.

Cubase 7.5 will be out about three days before the same people ask for version 8.
Everyone wants perfect software. But nobody's perfect.

C'mon. It wasn't Steinberg that invented anything, but it was people who developed those ideas year after year. Some of those geniuses are maybe still at Steinberg, and some are probably now at some other place. If they didn't invent things under Steinberg, they would invent them under some other company. Like they keep inventing things under Presonus now. It is all about people, not companies.
Cubase 7.5, Win 7 64bit, i7-4770K @4.3GHz, ASUS Z87-K, 16Gb, 2x RME HDSP 9652, BCF 2000, BCR 2000, Novation Launchpad Mini, M-Audio TriggerFinger, Korg NanoKey, plenty outboard synths and fx, 24ch Studiomaster mixer, Yamaha NS10s, Dynaudio BM5, Samson Rubicon R8a Ribbon, etc...

Of course....

And also....
It wasn't the Beatles that made tons of great music, but it was the people in the band who wrote the songs and played the instruments and recorded and mixed, etc., year after year. Some of those geniuses are still with us, and some are not. If they didn't write great music with the Beatles, they would have written great music under some other band name.

Of course it's about people. Without people, the companies, teams, bands, groups, agencies, organizations, departments, branches, divisions, etc., etc., etc., are just inanimate objects that can't actually do things. Their names represent the group of people that comprise them.

They don't take away titles from sports teams when the players who made it happen leave the team.

These are Steinberg's accomplishments. It is understood that there are actual people that made it happen.

Guys, if it wasn't for Steinberg, some other company would have invented all of ASIO / VST.

It was something that HAD to come, it was just Steinberg who were the first to give that to us for a sane price.

I hope for a direct grass to steak converter.

Seriously.

A grass to steak converter would make me even buy my own lawn and a lawnmower.

However:

"The GTS process is very sophisticated."

---

Seriously:

It will be another app. The image is quite clear about that - and I think it will be (because there is an iPhone pictured) another app for this minority "iOS" - platform, instead of the majority Android. A bad decision which doesn't reflect market realities anymore.

So this is not for me. I want Android stuff. :-(

No, I will not use i*.* for political reasons.

But yes, it's time for Google to come up with a true low latency solution, something like ASIO.

Having said that I want to add that I don't want a DAW, all I want is the control software iC Pro.

While people invent, companies pave the way. For example when Steinberg choose to make the asio/vst architecture an open and free model, it is the company who did that not one man.

I truly and seriously appluad you sir.

In today's social/cultural/economic climate; to see an artist
willing 'take a stand' and mitigate their creative processes because of political
reasons is a rare thang.

Currently (in many cases) the trend seem to be all about the mighty $.

Innovators do not die, hence the dominance of Microsoft in the desktop market, Apple in the phablet market and Nokia in the feature phone space. Not to mention Facebook dominating social media and Google search engine products. Don't know where the likes of Twitter fit in but they recently had a successful IPO.

Nokia?

Come on, feature phones are gone. The Microsoft / Nokia - alliance has not produced a proper, competitive smartphone OS. Windows Phone (or whatever it is called) is even more limited than iOS.

Actually there is a low latency solution for Android:

http://www.sonomawireworks.com/pr/android-low-latency-audio-solution.php
Windows 7/64, Intel i7 2600K, 16G RAM, 6TB 7200RPM storage, and bunch of software.
