Nice update. But I'm too a little bit disappointed. I would like to see more workflow improvements and new features, rather than more VSTi's and plugins that we all already have. Reverb? Saturation? Really?? What´s next? A buss compressor?
Anyway a lot of features have been asked by users : tab to transient, playlists... So we can't complain too much.
I agree. Stop introducing plugins we already have that do a better job too. There is so much nonsense in Cubase that no one needs. Improve the workflow and essentials like VCA groups, colouring in mixer.
And who needs the track version feature? I'd rather copy the track and mute the one I don't use. That way I can 'see' what the difference is. Maybe I like it when I see it, but I doubt it. Doesn't sound like a huge time saver.
And if loopmash does not work on groups or master channels I have no use for it. What's the point having it on audio only? Are you guys sure it works only on audio tracks? I needs to work like dblue Glitch or Effetrix. Otherwise what's the point?
Steinberg has to stop adding things that already exist in a superior way. Only bring them in if they are better or at least par. Otherwise focus on the core features and improve them. Not adding things. Making existing things better. That's what I would like.
I will wait a bit with the update this time after the last v7 debacle. I don't trust Steinberg anymore... I need to work on my machine every day...
I do like ProTools meters also better. Not a fan of Cubase meters.
And another reverb? really?
With Ableton it's a bit different. All the included plugins have a very interesting sound that instantly makes me go wow!
I'm not using Ableton anymore, but Cubase plugins don't have the wow factor for me. So why have them at all? Same with synths, drum machines and samplers/samples. they don't have the instant gratification factor. at least for me...
loopmash looked good, but if it won't work on groups I have no use for it. Otherwise I don't see anything appealing, I'm sorry...
having said all that, I'm a happy Cubase user. Just adding my 2C to make it better for me.
