[FR] (F4)Routing Presets are Unloaded when window is closed

Postby alexis » Fri Jun 27, 2014 7:06 pm

Repro:
1) Hit F4, in either input or output with Studio Tab not activated, create a routing and Save it with a name.
2) Hit F4 to close the window.
3) Hit F4 to reopen the window. The connection name has changed. Have to "Load" the one you just created in Step 1 to bring it up.

Expected Behavior: Closing and reopening the window would result in the same connection window being present.

Thank you for checking, Guillermo.

Can you clarify please - as I'm not saying the actual connections have changed, but on my system the name in the little window is blank ...

Are you saying when you do my repro, the "Presets" field retains the name in it?

I now see what you mean, it works as expected it will not show the name in the box.
The connections will stay as you left them but the name will not be shown.

I now see what you mean, it works as expected except it will not show the name in the box.

Thank you, Guillermo.
(I fixed your reply by adding the word in red ;-) . )

Could you ask the programmers please to look at fixing this so the name stays in the "Presets" field, which would be expected?

Thank you!
Alexis

Unless it is expected behavior that the preset name is supposed to disappear, I would like this to be in the bug fix list please, not the "Feature Request" forum where someone has moved it.

I can't see how in this one window of millions in Cubase it would be expected that the preset name would disappear ... but maybe that is truly Steinberg's expectation?

Thanks!
Alexis

Hello alexis,

It is expected behaviour and it works as it is supposed to work.
It is not a bug, therefore it is a feature request.
That is why I have moved it to this forum, as it is something that has to be done not fixed.

Best regards,
GN

OK then, though I did not "expect" the Preset name to disappear there, that is not so important.

Thank you!
Alexis
