Yamaha Corporation appointed Steinberg distributor for Japan

Steinberg is pleased to announce the appointment of Yamaha Corporation as the new distributor of our products for the Japanese market. Effective as of today, 1st June 2006, Yamaha Corporation will be responsible for all sales, marketing and technical support activities related to Steinberg products in Japan. The long-standing close cooperation enjoyed by Steinberg and Yamaha has resulted in several ground-breaking initiatives including Studio Connections, the open communication standard for music software and hardware systems. Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation since January 2005.
Steinberg extends its thanks to the outgoing distributor, Cameo Interactive, Ltd, for their many years of fruitful cooperation, and also wishes them all the best for their future business.
