Nuendo Live now available!

Post by TimoWildenhain » Mon Jul 16, 2012 1:08 pm

Dear forum members,

I'm happy to announce the availability of Nuendo Live as of today! Nuendo Live can be purchased
in the Steinberg Online Shop (Download, USB-eLicenser required) or through authorized
Yamaha resellers.

More information on Nuendo Live can be found on here: Nuendo Live product website

Thanks,
Timo

Crossgrade option from Cubase

Post by Darren The Musical » Mon Jul 16, 2012 5:32 pm

Our theater purchased a full license of Cubase to use for live recording in just the last few weeks. NLive is more of what we'd like to use. Any crossgrade options?

Thanks!

Will these new "Live" oriented features be available in Nuendo 6 ? Or will the owners of N5 get a special price to get Nuendo Live ?

Thanks,

Hello,

Nuendo Live is a separate product, the features won't be included in Nuendo 6. This is also not very useful. The main argument for using Nuendo Live is not the feature set, but the way a session can be efficently handled.

Thanks,
Timo

Timo, where can we find more information regarding specific connection methods. I can't find it in the manual nor in the Yamaha manuals. Also, some more info regarding integration with other consoles...

This is a great product!!

Thanks,
Robin

Hello Martin,

not yet, but this feature is often requested and will be implemented in an updated version of Nuendo Live.

Thanks,
Timo

Hi Robin,

Nuendo Live integrates via DANTE network connection with Yamaha CL consoles. It needs the DVS driver software (Dante Virtual Soundcard) and a connection from the Ethernet Port of your computer with the Dante Card inside the CL console. So far, other consoles cannot be remote controlled via Nuendo Live.

Thanks,
Timo

Thanks for the reply Timo. That's easy enough.

I wouldn't need to control a console from Nuendo Live, but will there be some form of integration with other consoles with Ethernet ports? Compatibility with digital consoles other than the CL Series consoles would be a major selling point.

Sorry for the layman questions.

Thanks ,
Robin
