How to create a filter sweep

Post by glvaughan » Tue Aug 29, 2017 7:43 pm

Hey, need some help on creating a slow filter sweep on a basic droning synth patch. I want to create automation, so the high end of the patch swells on certain chords and sections of the production. Have been fooling around in the filter section, automating the resonance and cutoffs, but nothing really works yet. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to do this is by using the modulation matrix. You can use it to modulate these parameters by using almost anything in Padshop as a source, or using MIDI CCs. For example you could use MIDI CC 01 (mod wheel) to lower the cutoff while increasing the resonance at the same time.
Every time someone says "it must be easy to add/fix", a programmer dies.

Cubase Pro and Wavelab Pro (latest), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, MSI Z87-G45 GAMING, i5 4690k, GeForce GTX 760, almost every Steinberg plugin and expansion, Trilian, Komplete 10, etc etc etc etc
