Disc Burn Issues

If nothing’s changed and it happens in both drives and it was fine with Taiyo Yuden, I’d try any other CD brand than what you’re currently using, to see if it’s any different. 10 minutes of churning is crazy.

Long term, Mitsui MAM-A, or Falcon CD-R, are often suggested as good Taiyo Yuden replacements.

If it’s not the CD media, you could do the following:

Make a Windows system restore point.

Download and reinstall or repair the Gear drivers that Wavelab uses:

(Or alternatively, if you don’t want to download anything, go into Windows Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, select the existing Gear driver, and select Repair.)

If that doesn’t help, you could run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter in Windows Control Panel.
