Recording Error: Too many tracks recording when recording 1

Nuendo 6.5.

I’m recording one track on my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB device. Most of the times everything goes OK, but sometimes I just get a freeze and then it unfreezes with this error:

Recording Error: Too many tracks recording

I’m recording only one channel. I have video in project too.

In the device setup I have Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver selected. When I try to select Focusrite USB ASIO, I get this error:

Cannot open Focusrite USB ASIO. (Error code: 0x54f)

Please help me make my recording sessions seamless.

Best,

Rok

No ideas? :open_mouth:

No idea why you can’t select the ASIO driver, but you most definately need an ASIO driver.
But even then … know that streaming audio through a USB 2 connection is like racing with a Zamboni.

In case somebody comes to the same problem.

I updated windows, reinstalled focusrite drivers, now it works fine.

Hi I have Cubase 5 and I bought Scarlett 2i2 audio interface and when I want to configure and switch to Focusrite USB ASIO I get this (error code: 0x54f)
Because I had previously installed ASIO 4ALL I do thanks

My Focusrite 2i2 interface worked fine for a while but now:
Every time I try and access my Focusrite 2i2 I get this error
Cannot open Focusrite USB ASIO. (Error code: 0x54f)
I am using Cubase Elements 10.0.30
Any ideas?

I am using the latest Focusrite driver and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I also have all the latest Windows updates

Have uninstalled ASIO4All - no effect
