Awful support in Australia

I think the support I receive for my Steinberg products is chronically bad. I'm based in Australia and if I register a support ticket most often, I dont even get a reply or if I do its weeks later.
If it was something that I could work around I wouldnt mind but these are things that basically stop me using software that I've invested $100s in.
Whats others experience in Australia, in the rest of the world?
