Clipping??

Post by spiderdoc69 » Sun May 06, 2012 10:37 pm

Hiya,

Win7 64 bit system (i920) with 8gb ram.

(This has happened before and I fixed it - I just can't remember how.)

I have an 18 track piece I'm trying to finish but when I export to Audio File, the export always has missing parts (it's like the notes are getting muted out).

I have tried everything from:
  • Removing tracks one by one
Lowering the outputs of each track one by one
    Lowering the master output

To saving on the internal hard drive vs. the external
- nothing is working.

The effected tracks always have parts missing after the export. (Playback in Seq3 is perfect.)

The piece is always skipping at the exact same places. It's not that complex a piece, I've done others that have way more tracks and are much more complex.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

I figured it out.

If I use the Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver, clipping in the finished product.
If I change to the ASIO Direct Full Duplex Driver, no clipping but after about 5 minutes time, there's the cracking sound. So, I can't work on the music in that driver.

So, I work on the music in Generic then when ready to export, I switch to the ASIO Direct driver for a perfect mix.
