Can I use my Sequel License on 2 Computers?

Can I use my license on 2 computers, you know like other DAW's that allow 2 installations but only using one at a time? Or do I have to buy another separate Sequel license so I can use my laptop when away from the studio and use my more powerful desktop when at home?

Hi there,

firstly, you should update to Sequel 3 :)

You can use Sequel 2 on 2 computers or more, all you need for this is an USB eLicenser and transfer your Sequel 3 license on it. This way you can use any computer that has Sequel 2 installed with your USB eLicenser. As you mentioned not at the same time though.

Here is a link to the knowledgebase article on eLicenser:

Hope that helps.

All the best,

Melanie

Thanks Melanie. However, I am already on Sequel 3, I do not own a S2 license or any other Steinberg licenses.

I assume I can just pick up an eLicenser from somewhere ?? and that will give me the ability to go between my laptop and desktop?

Unfortunately this link did not help. There is nothing in the Sequel 3 manual on how to work on two different computers or where to buy the hardware from. Thanks for your help.

Hi musiclabnz

You can buy the e-licenser in the Steinberg shop or @ a Steinberg dealer. Price approx 25€

Have a look to www.thomann.de
