Ability to record audio tracks while in performance mode?

Post by B Chapin1 » Tue Jan 26, 2016 6:55 pm

Hi there,

I'm considering buying Sequel and wanted to know if the non-trial version will allow the following:

1) Can you record new audio tracks while in performance mode?
2) Can you have more that one time signature per project?
3) Are multiple hardware output assignments available?

Also, does any other Steinberg product have performance mode?

I have many DAW software platforms to work from but the performance mode in Sequel has a unique feature that not even Abelton Live can boast. It is the ability of the "End" setting. To be able to select the next section of a song at any point during the current section being played is perfection. I do need however to still have the ability to record new parts while triggering my performance.

Thanks so much,

Bob

Hi,

1) No, it doesn't make sense.
2) No, it doesn't make sense. In Cubase, you could have TrackVersions of the Signature Track.
3) Only if those hardwares support Multi-client ASIO, which is pretty rare. This is question of ASIO standard.

Cubase has Arranger Track, which could be used similar way.
