Moving Installed Wavelab Elements from PC to Laptop

Post by Ashmolean » Mon Oct 28, 2019 4:01 pm

Hi,
Sorry for posting what maybe a regular question but I couldn't immediately see anything on it.
Is it possible to move an installed version of Wavelab Elements 8 from a failing PC to a new laptop?
I don't have the disk just a downloaded install along with the Steinberg security key thing...

I don't want to buy it again unless I have to!
If it's possible please let me know!

Thanks,
Andy

If you're referring to the USB eLicencer when you mention the 'Steinberg security key thing' then you can install it on any machine you like but will need the USB eLicencer connected in order to use it.
Cubase 10.0.40 Asus Z390-Plus, i9 9900 @ (3.7) 5GHz, 64GB DDR4 3000Mhz RAM, RME Multiface II PCIe, SSL Alpha Channel, UAD2 Octo/Solo/Quad, UA6176, Neve 8801, Loads of plugs, WL9.5, Melodyne Studio 4, Arturia VC7, iZotope MPS, Eventide XI, Various toys, Telefunken, Neumann, AKG, Sontronics, Shure Mics, Adam A7X and Avantone monitors, AKG K702, ATH-M70x, Nektar P6, Warwick, Spector Basses, Gibson Les Paul Studio & loads of other junk.
