Is there any way to send MIDI from Cubase (on the Mac, in my case) to Nanologue in the iPad and receive the audio back in Cubase?

Nanologue is based on Retrologue (included with latest versions of Cubase). So you can actually export your Nanologue preset and import it with Retrologue in Cubase and you should be able to get a pretty identic sound.
