STEINBERG!!! DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME AND CUBASE "RE-INITIALIZE" OF ALL PLUGINS!!

I’VE BEEN WITH YOU GUYS SINCE VERSION 3.8 AND I CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHY WITH ALL OTHER COMPETITOR DAWS NEVER HAVE TO “RE-INITIALIZE” ON THEIR SYSTEMS. WHEN TIME GOES BACK AND GOES FORWARD AN HOUR HERE IN THE U.S.A., CUBASE ALWAYS HAS TO "RE-INITIALIZE ALL PLUGINS!!! THIS IS FRUSTRATING BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT OF PLUG INS AND I SHOUDN’T HAVE TO WAIT FOR THIS. YOUR OTHER COMPETITORS DAWS CONTINUES THE SAME EVEN WHEN TIME CHANGES OR NOT. CAN YOU GUYS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS OR CREATE AN UPDATE WHERE THOSE OF US THAT BUY YOUR PRODUCTS SHOULDN’T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS EVERY TIME??

Hi,

There two plug-in scans while Cubase startup.

  1. The deep one, which is applied when the plug-in is installed and Cubase finds it for the very first time. Or if you trash Cubase preferences and Cubase needs to make the database again.

  2. The fast one which checks, if the plug-in has not been updated.

Iin Cubase 9, there is an improvement in the plug-in are.

If it’s so painful for you then you should disable your windows clock auto update.
Manually setting the clock after daylight savings doesn’t trigger a rescan.

I doubt Steinberg are likely to change this in current version and 100% sure they won’t update C8 versions with a fix.
