Error - Too Many Tracks Recording...

Post by arencreative » Fri Dec 01, 2017 4:17 am

I have an iMac late 2015 21.5 Retina
3.1 Ghz Intel Core i5
16 GB Ram
Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 with 1536mb

Running Cubase 8.5 Pro
i/o is Behringer X18

I use this rig to do some live recording, but have been running into an issue. When I set up my session, verify levels etc... then hit the record button, it records for about 2 seconds then gives me an error that I'm trying to record too many tracks at once. Tonight it did it with just 2 tracks armed to record. I've looked at everything I can think of but can't figure out why it's doing this.

The last time I did this with 6 channels armed to record and it did the same thing.

Help???

Hi and welcome,

I have never seen this on Mac. Try to run First Aid from the Disk Utility on the main system disk, please. Do you have SSD or HDD?
