Balancing Stereo Audio File

Post by SizMixing » Tue Dec 05, 2017 8:08 am

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to balance a stereo audio file without splitting it to mono first in Nuendo 7?

I use a plugin that allows separate tweaking of the gain for the left and right sides. Steinberg used to include a plugin in their utility tools but that was long ago (32bit only) and now there is nothing that I know of in the included plugins.
Inboard:
Win7Pro 64Bit, i7 3770k, Gigabyte Z77-UHD5, 12gb Corsair (1600Mhz), Nuendo+Nek 6.5, Reaper 4.591, Samplitude Pro X2, Studio One 3.5, CD Architect 5.2, RME Raydat, UAD PCIe Quad+Duo.

Outboard:
Moog Model D (Vintage), Sub 37, Minitaur, Slim Phatty, DSI OB-6 Desktop, Prophet Rev2 8 Voice, Roland Integra 7, SE-02, Korg Prologue 16, Triton Le, Boss Dr. Rhythm DR-55, Sound Gizmo.

The Stereo Balance Panner allows you to control the level difference between the left and right channels easily. No plugin necessary.

Only the Stereo Combined Panner threats the left and right channels like two mono channels with independent pans (like the PT mixer)
Every time someone says "it must be easy to add/fix", a programmer dies.

Cubase Pro and Wavelab Pro (latest), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, MSI Z87-G45 GAMING, i5 4690k, GeForce GTX 760, almost every Steinberg plugin and expansion, Trilian, Komplete 10, etc etc etc etc
