In this report, the crash happens in the plugin Izotope OZone.
If you need to switch sample rate often, there is an alternative: activate the WaveLab resampler in the Master Section. In that way, the device driver won’t have to change its sample rate, because WaveLab will output the same sample rate always.
But in the crash above, I am not sure this would have help, as the crash happens inside Ozone.
