Kerning

Does anyone else have this kerning issue with the letters "f" and "i" ? I'm using the default lyrics font. Can this be adjusted?

It's called a ligature and it's by design: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typographic_ligature

Thank you. If it's by design, then I assume that it must be an engraving standard.

It's a typographical standard. The text rendering engine that Dorico uses (plus the one used by your word processor) replaces sequences such as 'fi' and 'ffi' with a single glyph.
