change note spacing mid-layout?

Post by CelloG » Sat Aug 12, 2017 2:54 pm

Hi,

When working on my cello technique book for students, I wanted my scales to fit onto 2 lines. Scales starting on the C string are 4 octaves, scales starting on the G are 3 octaves. I'd like both layouts to look evenly spaced, but the note spacing needed to make the 4 octave scales layout nicely is too close for the 3 octave scales. Is there an easy way to change the note spacing for the 3 octave scales?

Thanks

Or Engrave > Make Into System - you'll need to shift-select the start and end notes you want on each line
