In Cubase 9 (as opposed to my 6.5) MIDI device panel controls using 7bit CCs will update on screen when the knobs on the physical device are moved.
However 14 bit MSB/LSB CCs will not update the on screen controls when the physical knob is moved. I also note that in Cubase 6.5 the controller lanes have no representation of the the 14 bit MSB/LSB protocol (you can get MSB and LSB on separate lanes , which is useless). Is this as well as RPN/NRPN implemented in Cubase 9 or 9.5 with the new controller lane features?
