Bug on Online Shop

Post by gestavrakis » Fri Jan 26, 2018 11:53 pm

Hi

This is the 8th day without a reply from support.
I wanted to upgrade my cubase elements to cubase artist but on login, (right part) does not accept my login info (username/password)
It says 'Login fail'

Any idea?

Not sure this is the case but... you do know that the account to purchase is not the same as your MySteinberg account. Maybe you just need to create a new one for the online shop run by asknet?

Heya

As it is an upgrade i suppose its the same account as the MySteinberg, as there also is the current software key. Also, when i tried to create a new one, it says the email is used..

If i make a new one, the key i will get will be used correctly as an upgrade key? I suppose then i will need for the purchase to have.. another mail

The online shop account (run by asknet) is definitely separate from your MySteinberg account. If you purchased from the online shop before my guess is that you probably have an account using your email but you have forgotten your password. There must be a place where is says "I forgot my password". Do that, then continue to purchase the upgrade from elements to artist. The license for your elements is stored either on your computer via a soft eLicense or on a USB eLicense (dongle). The installer will see your elements license and allow you to upgrade using the activation code you will get in an email. Don't forget, the Artist version needs the USB elicense dongle to work. So purchase it at the same time if you don't already have one.

Reseting the password worked perfect. Thanks a lot for the hints!
