Be smart, limit suggestions to 1 & only 1 per thread

Post by raino »

There are typically several active threads along the lines of "I'd like to see these features in Cubase." This is probably the best way to make sure that those requests get ignored because those threads almost always evolve to become less signal and more noise. Not too far from the top of the 1st page someone will post
I don't really need ABC, but XYZ and UVW would be awsome!!!!
By the time it gets to page 3 (and it always gets to page 3), you've got a kirjillion different requests with folks arguing about which are absolutely essential or totally unnecessary. By page 5 it is impossible to tell which of the three-kirjillion requests are actually popular without keeping detailed notes as you read through the entire thread several times.

When you group multiple requests in a single thread you are sabotaging them all.

So be smart.

If you want to request a new feature, give it a thread all its own. And if you have 2 or 5 requests give each of of them a request of their own. That way it's easy for everybody, your peers here on the forum, Steinberg developers and marketers, spies & hackers, everybody to easily tell which specific requests are popular and which aren't.
