Cubase 9.5.30 stuck on Initializing: eLC

I tried to reinstall windows several times, formatting completely, I tried to reinstall the eLicencer control center and cubase as administrator but keep closing after a few seconds appearing initializing: eLC.

Hi,

Make sure you have the latest eLCC installed.

Start eLCC as administrator and trigger Maintenance. Quit eLCC and try to Start Cubase.

If it didn’t work, start eLCC and keep it open. Try to start Cubase while eLCC is running. Sites it work?

Another good thing to try (windows). Uninstall eLC. Then, go to Device Manager, and uninstall from there also. Then reinstall and should work.

Make sure to also unplug and replug it in at some point when windows is not doing anything else (like after fresh boot).

I had the same problem (Win7) and returned to Cubase Pro v9.5.21. Why can’t you at Steinberg just build an installer being free of such issues, like you could before? I’m used to Steinberg’s flawless installations of updates for this legal and purchased “pro”-software. Is that history?

I am having exactly same issue, when started, Cubase showed staring page said ‘initializing eLC’, then nothing happened. I am using Win10 with latest update. Aslo installed latest version of eLicense, uninstalled/re-installed Cubase many times, but it all did samething. It’s so frustrated!!

Anyone can help please??

You said you installed the latest version but, did you do the rest of what Martin said to do?

Regards :sunglasses:

Have similar issue. Updated to Cubase 9.5 from Cubase 9. (windows 7-64). Cubase showed starting page, then appeared error messages: “DCOM connection to program Synsopos.exe failed. Error: Server error” and next - Error: Server RPC anavailable. I uninstalled eLicenser control center and installed the latest version (05.08.2018). Error messages disappeared. But Cubase still crashes out after words “loading GUI resourses…” And nothing after, starting page closes. The same issue with Cubase 9.5.30. The same on another computer.

In addition to my last issue report - after updating from Cubase 9 to Cubase 9.5 (win 7-64) don`t start both Cubases - 9.0.40 and 9.5 (and 9.5.30).

Hi,

This is eLicenser issue. Start eLCC application as an Administrator and trigger Maintenance.

If it doesn’t help, follow this recommendation.

Hi
Maintenance didnt help. Second method I cant apply, windows says “This program must run with DEP enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program” (Synsopos.exe) (Windows 7-64)

I solved a similar (not the same) in this way.

That works!!! thanks. issue solved.

hello, i just install cubase and i also stuck in initializing: eLC, is there any answer for solving this problem in win 10? i already follow all instruction but it won’t fix.

This is happening on Windows 10 Build 1809, with Cubase 9.5.4; not enough permissions.

Hi,

Install and run eLCC as administrator, please.

Hi Martin,

i have the problem.
I had to erase all my PC and reinstall Windows, Cubase 9.5 and so…
I did what you tell to do with the Administrator but nothing to do, Cubase close when “Initializing ELC”…
I dont know what to do…Frustrating i can’t work…

Many thanx for any help
Sandy
