Re: HALion family pricing
So if I now have Halion 5 and have decided I'd like to upgrade to Absolute 3, I have to first upgrade to Halion 6 ($99) and then crossgrade to Absolute 3 ($349) (Total $448) for a savings of only $51 over the price of $499? Which is the price someone who had never bought a single Steinberg product would pay? Not complaining. Just wanted to make sure that's the avenue I'd have to take.

Re: HALion family pricing
Hi, I have Halion Sonic 2 and would like to update to V3.
My USB licensor shows an "Absolute VST+" license.
Can I expect problems when updating?

Re: HALion family pricing
I guess I am complaining...
I own The Grand 3
Halion Symphonic Orchestra
And Halion 5
I also own 2 licences of Cubase Pro 9, and Wavelab Pro 9
I addition, I own Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 & Trilian Bass, and much of VSL already.
I have to pay $99 to upgrade to Halion 6, ok...fine. But then another $249 to crossgrade to Absolute 3? Why? I already own most of it in pieces.
I would pay $99 to have an upgrade to Absolute 3, but not $249+ when I already paid for most of the underlying products separately.
Frustrating!

I feel you on this! It's like Steinberg wants to purposely price themselves out of potential sales.GeoMax wrote:I guess I am complaining...

I would've been paid to get Absolute 3 but the cheapest way for me to upgrade is to pay $350 even though I already own Halion 6, Halion Symphonic Orchestra and Groove Agent 4.
