Yeah, those were heavy months. I can’t stand it when i do not understand something. 
But after a month or two everything went quite quickly i must say and the results are great.
I do not distribute results since they have become a part of the sound we are using.
It is very near to the real samplers of the old days, but without the limitations of those eras and with plenty more realtime power which comes with modern equipment.
I have a good amount of samplers both in hard and software, but none of them can be as easily programmed as what you can with the Halion package (for a single sample/grain) at the SE level. (as far as my knowledge reaches)
It’s a bit sad that the realtime audio input (which is present) can’t be used in the SE environment, but i guess they just do not want to shoot themselfs in a foot.
And FWIW, i think it is going to be their flagship environment for vst creation for a while, so i guess you made a good jump.
