mixer channel not showing corresponding track when track is in a folder?

Post by triton100 » Mon Sep 16, 2019 1:58 pm

is it possible to select a channel in the mixer so that the corresponding track gets highlighted and brought into focus, when the track is WITHIN a folder?

Currently if it is within a closed folder, this won’t happen, it only seems to happen when outside of a folder?

Hi,

The track become selected in the Project window too (what you can see in the Visibility tab), but the folder stays collapsed.

Do you not think it would be good if it automatically opened the folder and showed the channel ?

I think that'd be a good option to have in the preferences but personally i'd have it turned off. It's the kind of thing that could be a pain in bigger projects.

I use folders for organisation. I don't particularly want them opening and closing by themselves.
