TOOLS for MR V1.7.8 for Windows released
Steinberg has released new updates of the TOOLS for MR816, specifically for Windows.
By providing the updates, the issue has been resolved where, under some circumstances, the Audio Hardware Setup was not displayed on the Devices menu of Cubase. Also several minor issues have been resolved.
Please find the TOOLS for MR816 X/CSX version 1.7.8 here.
Best regards,
Stefan Schreiber

Re: TOOLS for MR V1.7.8 for Windows released
Veryyyyy good.
Already with Cubase 9 something changed so that Cubase stopped crashing when inputting values directly as numbers in checkboxes inside the MR channel strip.
Menu bug has been adjusted with this release, and the MR seems to run better also performance-wise...a looooot less drops. Nearly unesistents drops.
I love this kind of updates

Re: TOOLS for MR V1.7.8 for Windows released
When I try to install this on Windows 7 64-bit, the InstallShield Wizard opens:
"Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver is configuring your new software installation"
But it never gets past 0% and just hangs.
Any suggestions?

I’m not near my PC, but if my memory is correct,
You need to stop the driver in Services.
If you look in Task Manager, you will likely see the driver
running; I believe the update driver won’t install if the existing driver is running.
