I’m apparently the only one that dearly misses the GA2 user interface. As a songwriter the genius of that was overwhelming. I watched several videos on GA4 and tried to use it, but gave up. I’ve been around MIDI since the Alesis HR16, and Cubase since V1.5 on my Mac Plus, so I don’t think my experience is the issue. I could not find a way to use the GA4 interface to make music in a satisfying way.
I use BFD3 exclusively, and now just take the time to write my own drum parts from scratch on a midi track in Cubase. My songwriting output has suffered for it. A GA2 interface, in fact, the original software with no updates at all would be superior in every way to GA4, for me.
