Just purchased GA5 and was hoping some of my disappointments with GA4 had been addressed, one of them being the timestretching algorithm.
Fxpansions Giest 2 [which is a couple years old] is STILL superior and with VSTs such as Serato Sample making the highest quality pitch & stretch available for samples, Groove Agent 5s in comparison is just awful… metallic, grainy and doesn’t even give you quick short cuts to increase or decrease time by half. Not to mention Abletons ability to link pitch & time together for cutting edge sample manipulation.
Disappointed that this is one area that Steinberg have once again neglected.
