VST Bass Amp cannot locate speaker impulse response file

Post by Darken-Jax » Sun Jul 03, 2016 5:36 pm

Although the Steinberg Bass Amp works fine in my Cubase 8 setup, when I try to load it up in Cubase 8.5.15 I get the error message:

"Cannot locate speaker impulse response file FCP_SMT_005_Reverence_ImpulseLibrary_04.vstsound".

Has anyone got any clues about how to solve this?

Thanks - Darren

This file is included in the full installer for Cubase Pro 8 and Pro 8.5. I don't remember if you can just reinstall the content or if you'll have to reinstall the DAW, then update to the current version.

On Windows this file should be located in Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Content\VST Sound
Try checking if it's really missing.
Every time someone says "it must be easy to add/fix", a programmer dies.

Cubase Pro and Wavelab Pro (latest), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, MSI Z87-G45 GAMING, i5 4690k, GeForce GTX 760, almost every Steinberg plugin and expansion, Trilian, Komplete 10, etc etc etc etc
