Deleting a bar

Simple question: How to delete a bar in Dorico?

two ways:

  1. Put caret at the start of the bar (select the first note/rest, press enter), then hit Shift+B, enter -1
  2. Put the caret at the end of the bar, engage insert mode (press I or the insert key), then press backspace until all the contents of the bar is gone (the notes following will have shifted along)
  1. Put the caret at the start of the bar, engage insert mode (press I or the insert key), then press Del until all the contents of the bar is gone

So, say you have 1000 bars of a 35 staff score and you wish to delete bar 105… you have to repeat this 35 times…?

No, you use the first method (Shift-B) and you enter -1 at the first note of the bar. Once you press enter, the bars will be deleted from all instruments. You can also delete any number of bars that way.

Indeed, the Shift-B command (option 1) works across all instruments/staves. So select a note in any of those 35 staves, press Shift-B, and enter the number of bars you want to delete.

The caret delete/backspace only works per voice right now.

Good to know, thanks.
