In earlier versions, there was a button to Show/Hide track colours.
It was next to the Mute, Solo, Read and Write buttons above the track names.
Is there a way of doing this in Cubase 6?

Yes, they changed this…to access, now it’s Command-click on the colour section
to the left of the Mute/Solo buttons.
