As shown in the attachments of the first post, the only apparent impact of having “ASIO Latency Compensation” “ON” is that the recording of MIDI notes that trigger internal virtual instruments are inappropriately delayed by the reported output latency of the audio interface. Those attachments also show that MIDI inputs are always delayed by the reported input latency of the audio interface.
Reaper apparently also has problems with their implementation! - http://forum.coockos.com/showthread.php?t=188208 You’ll need to remove the first “o” in “coockos” to un-censor the URL so it can work.
