Hi,
I'm in the planning stage of building a new DAW. I'm most likely going to go with Cubase Pro 10 with a UR-RT audio interface.
I'll probably build the PC from components (Intel 7i 30Ghz, 16GB RAM, 256 GB SSD & 1TB 7200rpm HDD),,,or something along those lines. Any advice about the PC hardware would be appreciated!
The first question I have is whether I should get Window 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, or Windows 10 Workstation. Does it make a difference?
Is there any list of services or other Windows components that can be shut down? This will be a dedicated DAW so I want the OS as streamlined as possible.
Thanks,
Rich

Re: Building New DAW
O.K. - the more I read up on Cubase the more confused I am....
I found the UR-RT audio interfaces come with Cubase AI, so I continue my questions in that forum.....

You can upgrade that license to Pro for cheaper than buying Pro right away.
