USB eLicence help

Post by Paulwoolleymusic » Sun Oct 15, 2017 4:09 pm

Hi

I usually just use my dedicated music pc for Cubase - my USB eLicence dongle attached.

However, today I downloaded Cubase onto my Macbook as there are occasions when I need to work on the go.

Is it possible to purchase a second USB eLicence dongle for use with my Macbook, so that I don't have to keep swapping licence from one machine to the other? I am worried the original licence will get lost or broken...

I can see I can get a dongle for £18.00, but I am not sure I will be able to use it as my version of Cubase is already affiliated with a dongle...

Thanks

Paul

No...Steinberg give you a single license only.

Cubase Elements doesn't require the dongle and may be good enough for basic drafts. You can then open your projects in Cubase Pro and finish them while you're at home/studio.
Every time someone says "it must be easy to add/fix", a programmer dies.

Cubase Pro and Wavelab Pro (latest), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, MSI Z87-G45 GAMING, i5 4690k, GeForce GTX 760, almost every Steinberg plugin and expansion, Trilian, Komplete 10, etc etc etc etc
