Cubase Crackling with Low CPU Load!

Post by GuruComposer » Tue Jun 07, 2016 6:50 pm

Hi everyone.

I have Cubase 8.5, Mac Pro 2013, 64 gigs of RAM, 6 core processor, duet apogee interface, samples on 2 SSDs and and 7200 RPM drive.

My CPU load is low, but Cubase is crackling like crazy! When I start up Cubase and it starts crackling, then everything on my computer starts crackling too! Like Youtube, Itunes, Audacity, etc. What is Cubase doing to my computer!?

Thanks!
