Playback/Recording creates noise on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
Audio playback/recording with USB audio class compliant audio interfaces (no separate driver installation is necessary) will create noise. Immediately after starting the host application any audio output delivers noise, even if nothing is played back.
Internal changes to the Apple USB audio driver for Mac OS X 10.9 made changes to our software components necessary.
Please download and install the CoreAudio2ASIO patch file that is available here.
Please note that Cubase Elements/AI/LE 7.0.6, WaveLab 8.0.3 and WaveLab Elements 8.0.3 and higher already contain this update and no further action is required. We will include this patch into upcoming updates for all our host software applications as well.
